What to do in an out of hours emergency

Our emergency service means that we are always there for you and your pet.  Our staff are on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  We take pride in providing an outstanding level of clinical care and our experienced team are able to manage a wide range of emergencies in a wide range of species. 

You may need our out of hours service if you are a registered client or if you are registered with one of our partner practices who we provide an out of hours service for.  You are also most welcome to contact us if you are not currently registered with a vet practice and require help out of hours. 

If you need us outside of normal working hours then please telephone us; you will speak with one of our nurses who has been trained in telephone triage. Our nurse will ask you a few questions to establish the nature of your concern and to determine whether you need to be seen immediately as an emergency or whether it is appropriate for an appointment to be booked during normal working hours. 

Sometimes our phone lines get busy and if we do not immediately answer the phone we would ask you to please be patient.  If you have a genuine emergency then we would recommend beginning to travel to the practice whilst continuing to telephone us. 

We have lots of equipment and facilities and highly trained staff to ensure that whatever your emergency is we are ready and able to help you.
